Great set of knives

I bought this knife set and block in order to purge my kitchen of all our random knives we have kept from old sets. I’m so glad I did, not only did I free up a whole drawer in my kitchen but I also got a very attractive addition to my countertops. I love the fact that it is vertical so I can easily turn it around so the knives face the wall, and due to the slim design it sits close to the wall keeping them out of the lids reach. The magnet is strong and the stand is very heavy and sturdy, plus the knives are really pretty and they actually stay sharp without the need for constantly sharpening. Overall, I absolutely love this set and everyone who comes over comments on how pretty and functional it is..it’s a great find!!

Sharp variety for a great price.

I live in an apartment with 3 others, and for almost a year we have been sharing one chef's knife, and a set of knives from target. I saw these that included a variety of cool looking knives + for a great price so I decided to get them and i've been extremely pleased.

They are not only great looking with the wavy blades and marble handles, but they have a decent weight and are surprisingly way sharper than I expected. My favorite part is having specific knives for bagels, steaks, veggies, etc. All while looking great on the counter.

Would (and have) recommend these knives to others!

Nice Steak Knife-Good Value

This knife is made with high quality German Steel used in upper end cookware. The steel, chromium, vanadium combo assures good hardness, rust resistance and to a degree edge retention. The knife itself is sharp, well balanced, and will feel good in either big or smaller hands. This made in China product came nicely packaged with a decent knife holder as a bonus. Remember to hand wash and dry, hone and sharpen once in awhile.

Great Sharp Knife Set

These knives are sharp and aethetically pleasing in my kitchen. The magnetic aspect is nice and makes them appear visually to cost more than they do. Functionally, the knives came sharp out of the box and cut extremely well. I do not have to apply much pressure at all and thus they feel very safe to use. With the 14 piece set, some of the extra slots will remain empty. This is nice if you have any additional knives to store but one could also argue this is less aesthetically pleasing than a totally filled in block. Similiarly, both the front and back of the block are magnetic, and only one side is required to store all the knives that come with the set. This means that if you so desired, you could store additional knives on the back side. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.

Piklohas Bread Slicer

THIS is how bread slicers should be, and I don't know why it's taken so long. Or anyway, I've never seen it until now.
I've tried every kind of bread slicer for my homemade bread and loaves from the bakery. I'm completely inept when it comes to making even slices, even with slotted knife guides and those bread knives with an extra strip to keep you from going off track. Guess what, I can go off track.
This horizontal system is compact, easy to clean, foolproof even for a fool like me, and is nothing to set up. Bring your own knife. Then tap that knife against the inside track when you're done and a magnet will hold it in place.

Cuts like Butta

I purchased a very sharp bread knife last year and it worked great on my freshly baked white and wheat breads but did little to slice through my sourdough bread. The Piklohas Resharpenable Bread Knife, a 10-inch Multifunction Serrated Knife sliced through my sourdough boule like butta...seriously, it even cut through the crusty bottom with little effort. Bonus I purchased it when it was on sale!!!

Beautiful Wood Dual Purpose Cutting Board & Meat and Cheese Board

The wood on these boards is exquisite! Very high quality and a good weight to them. They are not so heavy you can't lift, but definitely solid good quality wood that will last for a very very long time. I love the juice grooves or for catching the scraps from cutting, the hidden handles on the one side are great for carrying these boards from the table to the counter, and the one side is great that has scooped out areas like built in bowls to store cheese, fruit or crackers; something you don't want to roll of the board if making a charcuterie board. It comes with a nice stand that is easy to put together and can store on your counter. What a beautiful set! It would definitely make a beautiful gift for someone, but then you would want to buy two as you won't want to part with yours!
